Most campus health programs already target the big issues: nutrition, weight, exercise, sleep, stress management,
sexually transmitted diseases,
alcohol, tobacco, substance abuse, etc. But those programs can be even more effective by incorporating Monday as a weekly motivator, a reminder or a compliance component.
Healthy Monday is a mindset. Setting the tone for the rest of the week, the day to get
started, check in, stock up, and get ready for the week to come. The Monday mindset is easily added to existing health programs as a trigger to action or compliance component.
So take the lead and raise health! Bring Healthy Monday to your college or university - and instantly become part of a growing network of Healthy Monday campuses across the country.
Add Monday as your trigger day for action. That weekly “fresh start” motivation can reinvigorate your current health and wellness programs and keep your students and staff focused and on track all year long. Best of all, it's FREE. No fees to join or dues to pay. Just add Monday and watch your health programs grow.

Here's what some Healthy Monday schools are doing:
Fans of the Orange Television Network at Syracuse University follow the adventures of students and faculty trying to make healthy changes in their lives on the award-winning Healthy Show, a campus-based realty show. Syracuse students are big health-raisers offscreen, too, with a full calendar of Healthy Monday events every week - everything from Monday Yoga and Zen Meditation to Monday Mutts dog-walking.
Students, faculty and staff at Northern Kentucky University kickstart their week with Healthy Monday reminders and motivate each other by sharing their Monday stories.
Tshirts, buttons and cryptic messaging on plasma screens across campus urge students at Johns Hopkins University to SEE for themselves, every Monday. Weekly challenges range from getting a full night's sleep to fighting climate change by going meatless on Mondays.
Monday messages remind the campus community to take action for their health every week at Columbia University, New York University, UC Berkeley, Quinnipiac University, Meredith College, Assumption College, Southern Connecticut State University, Long Island University, and other schools throughout the US and Canada. Colleges and universities, adult learning centers, and even some high schools and middle schools are getting into the act.
